What is the GANO (GPA) requirement to graduate from graduate programs?

For a graduate student to graduate, their GPA must be no less than 3.00. The student must retake or take new courses until they meet the required average.

What should I do to graduate from my Master’s program? When should I submit my thesis?

To graduate, a student must pass the thesis examination and fulfill other graduation requirements as determined by the Senate. The bound copies of the master’s thesis must be submitted to the relevant institute within one month of the thesis defense date. Students whose thesis is approved in terms of format will receive a master's diploma.

Can the thesis submission deadline be extended after the thesis examination?

The Institute's Administrative Board may grant an extension of up to one additional month if requested. However, students who do not fulfill these requirements will not receive their diploma, will not retain student rights, and, if they exceed the maximum allowable duration, will be dismissed.

What is the graduation date? How is the name of the Department listed on the diploma?

The master’s diploma includes the officially approved name of the program within the institute's department, as confirmed by the Higher Education Council. The graduation date is the date of the thesis examination in which the thesis is accepted.

Why is an electronic copy of the thesis required?

An electronic copy of the thesis is also submitted to the institute. Within three months of submission, one copy is sent electronically to the Higher Education Council by the institute to be made available for scientific research and activities.

What documents must be submitted to the Institute of Social Sciences at the graduation stage after passing the thesis defense examination?
